Carnage Tournament 2008 Finals Preview

Um so hi TMOUllrich here; due to popular demand (of 1 person) I've decided to write up a breif preview for the up comming Carnage Tournament 2008 finals and the 3rd place play off's featuring mScutt & Jonesk , CunniJA & Bischoffshof respectively. It's been a turbulent tournament to say the least not exactly running as smoothly as one would have hoped but lol what ya gonna do? The initial 16 player line up changed more than the weather does here in the UK and then of course there was the Bischoffshof fiasco, and we all had to sign back on for Round 3 which initself was a big enough hurdle to eliminate 4 of our intrepid tourny players.

But anways enough of that - we've reached the point that counts as mScutt and Jonesk fight in a best of three to gain the respect and recogniton among their Carnage peers (lol just kidding). I hope if you've competed in the tourny thus far you have enjoyed your experience ... Ok lets have a look at um the bronze position playoffs first ...

One of the closest games I have played in a while. I do a TP start followed by the usual Iro colonial while Lucario does a musket strat. After a lot of back and fourth action we both go Fortress (a rarity in my games).

While I'm sure Ullrich will be cringing at all the missed raiding opportunities from both sides, I think it is definitely worth a watch.

The Best 12 Years

I am sure that you have all heard the news by now, Ensemble Studios closing its doors after we ship Halo Wars. It was certainly a shock to everyone when we found out about the decision. The team took it as best they could given the circumstances, and handled themselves professionally.

We are happy that Ensemble got to spend as much time as we did entertaining our fans over the last 12 years, and we would not be where we are without such a great bunch of people standing behind us. For what it is worth we thank you. As we move into the future we will continue to support the Age of Empires and Halo Wars fans and franchises and make sure that they are supported fairly.

I am incredibly proud our team here at Ensemble and of the time we have spent making games for you. It has been some of the best years we have had.
